The Slingshot – which was rated as one of the most thrilling extreme rides in the world – combines elements of skydiving and bungee-bumping, allowing riders to experience the two sports combined. Connected to flight cables, riders pull their own rip cord and plunge 30 meters towards the ground at speeds of up to 80 – 90 kilometres an hour. They then swing upwards in a 180 degree arc and proceed to fall straight down again. This continues until the ride settles and riders are retrieved by the flight crew located on the ground.
