Three of the World’s Most Exciting Theme Parks

Theme parks offer both children and adults the chance to escape their busy lives and indulge in a number of fun and thrilling adventures they will never forget. With a number of rides that range from small to large, fast and slow, each and every theme park around the world has at least one ride their visitors will enjoy.

We are going to take a look at three theme parks that are located around the world, who offer visitors the chance to get their adrenaline pumping and let out a good scream.

Ratanga Junction, Cape Town

Located in Cape Town – also known as The Mother City – in South Africa, Rantanga Junction is home to an array of thrilling rides that will take riders’ breath away. The biggest roller coaster at the park is The Nashua Cape Cobra Thrill Ride, a coaster that starts by catapulting riders from a height of 32 meters, while travelling at four times the force of gravity at a whopping speed of up to 100 kilometers an hour. The track includes numerous twists and turns before reaching the end of the 779 meter track, and there is an opportunity to purchase a photo at the end of the ride. The Slingshot – which was rated as one of the most thrilling extreme rides in the world – combines elements of skydiving and bungee-bumping, allowing riders to experience the two sports combined. Connected to flight cables, riders pull their own rip cord and plunge 30 meters towards the ground at speeds of up to 80 – 90 kilometres an hour. They then swing upwards in a 180 degree arc and proceed to fall straight down again. This continues until the ride settles and riders are retrieved by the flight crew located on the ground. For those who would enjoy tamer rides, there is the option to take the Canal Boats and enjoy the Bush wacker.

Dubai Parks & Resorts, Dubai

Made up of a number of different theme parks in Dubai, including LEGOLAND® DUBAI, LEGOLAND® WATER PARK, Bollywood PARKS™ DUBAI, motiongate™ DUBAI, RIVERLAND™ DUBAI and LAPITA™ DUBAI, each of the theme parks have a number of rides that will entertain their guests (except for LAPITA™ DUBAI as that is a hotel). motiongate™ DUBAI provides riders with entertainment from three of the largest and most successful motion picture studios in Hollywood, creating a world of innovation and creative storytelling through a number of rides that are based on a number of popular movies. Some of which include: The Green Hornet: High Speed Chase (a roller coaster that takes riders through a junkyard full of hazards and leaps), Hotel Transylvania (a frenetic ride in coffin-like carriages), Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs: River Expedition (a river expedition that takes riders through a lush jungle), and so much more. For riders who prefer water rides, LEGOLAND® WATER PARK offers riders 20 water slides and attractions that will help them cool off on a hot day.

Thorpe Park, United Kingdom

Situated only 20 miles from Central London, this British theme park is filled to the brim with thrill rides, water rides, and family-friendly rides that suit the whole family – as well as a few that aren’t! One of the rides that are not suitable for anyone who has the tendency to get nauseous, is Stealth. Stealth is one of Europe’s fastest roller coasters that propels its riders from 0 to 80 miles per hour to 205 feet in the air in under 2 seconds. When it is time to come to a stop, riders should prepare to feel the same brake horse power of not one, but two Formula 1 cars. There are a number of other roller coasters that will take riders’ breath away, including Nemesis Inferno, Colossus, SAW- The Ride (the world’s first horror movie themed roller coaster), and The Swarm. For those who are visiting the parks with their families, they can indulge in rides that are suitable for everyone, including King Pig’s Wild Hog Dodgems, Flying Fish (which is a fun, fast, first- time roller coaster), and Storm in a Teacup.

Let your hair down and have a good time at one of the world’s most thrilling theme parks packed to the brim with rides to suit the whole family.
